The launch ceremony of the project "construction and application of ultra-flexible organic neural interface array" was successfully held. This project is a key project of the national key research and development program "Intergovernmental Cooperation in International Science and Technology Innovation", and is jointly funded by China and the RIKEN of Japan. Invited by Prof. Xu, the domestic participating experts are Prof. Hui-Ming Cheng, Prof. Shu-Hong Yu, Prof. Ning Gu, Prof. Wenping Hu, Prof. Liqiang Li, Prof. Xue Feng, Prof. Wei Ma, Prof. Chuanfei Guo, Prof. Xinge Yu and Prof. Zhi Jiang. The Japanese expert representatives are Prof. Tako Someya, Prof. Kenjiro Fukuta and Mr. Kenji Someno.

Overview

We are an interdisciplinary research group at the Institute of Materials Research, Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, Tsinghua University.

Our research is centered on organic conjugated systems and two-dimensional (2D) materials, aiming at controlled solid-state properties that will ultimately benefit the advancement of (opto)electronic devices.

We are seeking highly motivated Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows to work on the following projects:
  1. Building up emergent organic-inorganic heterostructures in a reduced dimension and understanding the new physics and phenomena at the interface.
  2. Developing flexible (opto)electronic devices with high performance, multi-functionalities and operational stability.
  3. Integrating wearable and implantable bioelectronics.
For Position Applications:
  • Student candidates with an education background in materials science, physics, chemistry, nanotechnology, or biomedical engineering are welcome to apply.
  • Experienced researchers with Ph.D. degree and a strong research background in electronics, optoelectronics, functional materials, and bioelectronics are welcome to apply.
